Nicholson Leads St. Bonaventure To 2012 Atlantic 10 Tournament Title

St. Bonaventure defeated Xavier by a final score of 67-56 to win the 2012 Atlantic 10 Tournament.

Andrew Nicholson was named Tournament MVP, scoring 23.3 points and grabbing nine rebounds over the three games.

Joining Nicholson on the All-Tournament Team is teammate Demetrius Conger, Xavier's Tu Holloway and Mark Lyons, and Chaz Williams of Massachusetts.

Andrew Nicholson of St. Bonaventure has been named the 2012 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year.

Nicholson, a native of Canada, averaged 20.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in conference play.

Joining Nicholson on the All-Conference First Team is Tu Holloway of Xavier, Brian Conklin of Saint Louis, Ramone Moore of Temple and Chaz Williams of UMass.

On the All-Conference Second Team are Kevin Dillard of Dayton, Langston Galloway of Saint Joseph's, Ramon Galloway of La Salle, Chris Gaston of Fordham and Khalif Wyatt of Temple.

On the All-Conference Third Team are Chris Braswell of Charlotte, Juan Fernandez of Temple, Mark Lyons of Xavier, T.J. McConnell of Duquesne and Kwamain Mitchell of Saint Louis.

C.J. Aiken of Saint Joseph's was named Defensive Player of the Year and was joined on the All-Defensive Team by Richmond's Darrius Garrett, Jordair Jett of Saint Louis, McConnell and Nicholson.

Ronald Roberts Jr. of Saint Joseph's received Sixth Man of the Year honors.

Kendall Anthony of Richmond was named Rookie of the Year. Joining Anthony on the All-Rookie Team are Pierria Henry of Charlotte, Jonathan Holton of Rhode Island, Dezmine Wells of Xavier and Jerrell Wright of La Salle.

Earl Pettis of La Salle was named Most Improved Player.
